ABC Analysis

The ABC Analysis option provides the capability for ranking inventory accounts based on a selected ABC Inventory Code. The ABC Inventory Parameters for a specified inventory master control account defines the values, i.e. account balances or transaction amounts, quantities, or counts, and the basis, i.e. pareto percentage or value threshold exceeded, on which the rankings are to be determined. The report presents inventory account numbers and names, the calculated rankings and the amount, quantity or count values from which the rankings have been determined. Optionally, the report may be accompanied by an update of the ranking categories on inventory master records, and where an ABC stocktaking regime has been established, an update of the stocktaking parameters for the warehouses concerned.
